was 53:44. Craig was shadowing me and showing signs of impatientence several times in the first half. It was a pretty scrappy run. Hit the controls well in the "running" second half. My GPS distance was 6.8km.
Splits 2:40, 9:36, 2:56, 1:36, 3:27, 3:22, 6:14, 7:47, 2:43, 2:23, 4:14, 3:29, 2:16, 0:57.

I've thrown my splits print away - have to wait for the official ones to be posted.

You had good splits at 2 and 7 where I went wide. You almost beat John's split to 2 which was easily the best of anyone at the event. I'd probably go wide every time on that leg - the chances of going down the wrong spur and getting confused by the rock/contour/clearing combinations look too great for me.

I did go over the hill on 2 and looking at the times it was a good choice. I did take my time coming off the top of the hill just to confirm everything was as it should be, which Craig got impatient with, but obviously I could afford that if it was 3mins slower going wide! I didn't think I did 7 well at all. I went through the green but using the clearings along the top of the hill. I would've been a lot faster at the end finding a control than a tape, as I stood within metres of the tape for a long time (~1min). Same goes for no.1!

Wide route might have been quicker if I'd gone a bit lower - got caught in green for the first 300m of the leg, and again on the slope below 7.
Coming up to 7 from below was dreadful - knew where the control was but getting there was difficult as the green has extended Northwards.
