1770 (Town of) is one of my favourite places in Qld. Did you ever go for a cruise on the LARC (giant pink amphibious vehicles)? They're fun in a sedate sort of way.

1770 is rather nice. I saw the LARC things and they look shocking! I wouldn't want to encourage such ridiculousness! we're thinking about heading up again in the (hopefully not to distant) future to do a trip out to the islands. we had a family holiday at lady musgrave island when I was a kid and it was heaps of fun.
