Motivating (but surprising) to get some quick splits near the end and to have a fastest split on a "runners" very easy leg?!? Confused. I was shattered by the end, why was I allegedly speedy? The chute which I smashed out showed it can't be my running speed.

Start to finish win for Oscar and to think he actually asked "Which way do I go?" when standing at the start!

Well, I hope you didn't tell him! Mind you, as a late starter he may not have had the advantage of watching previous starters run off down the passage.

13-14 and 16-17 show me as losing 6 sec each, 2 of the shortest/easiest?legs which I ran straight between controls. It shows how easy it is to lose time when not running fast. Is it a good strategy to try and sprint those legs?
3rd time out of 4 for me to get 2nd fastest to #1. Sten beat me by 2 sec at ECU and UWA, not even close to Oscar at this one.
I think my fastest split for the finish shows I really should have been trying harder for the rest of the race.

I only laughed at Oscar and told him that he was orienteering and the point was to work it out for himself. I think he did that fairly well.
