Is 30 a par time for you on this course? If you need a little friendly comp to help break the barrier let me know! Appreciated seeing your Hammond Pond cm's -good to iron out the kinks before the racing season begins and without your 15 mins of errors I would have been in trouble. I think I might rerun it on contour only map.
ps Looks like progress on the weight front so you must be doing some things right

30:00 is the minimum standard for a decent effort under summer conditions. For comparison, 27:22 is the PR. Given the ice and unevenness resulting from frost effects (and perhaps the effects of age as well), 30:00 is a relatively challenging but clearly manageable goal. Before the snow, I was doing low 29's with fairly aggressive effort and thinking 28:30 was certainly possible. A new PR however seems like quite a daunting prospect.

Sounds like a fair goal for this time of year and one on which to assess base building - take care not to run against the clock every time out though (apologies for advice however, been there, done that!).

The main thing is that these silly goals really do motivate us to train harder!
