At what weight did you wrestle...& what led you to eat all that you did:-).

I live about 10 lbs over my ideal BW & doubt I'll lose them. I burn calories but am not particularly disciplined in choice of food/meals - eg, ice cream most every night year-round, not to mention.......

Well, I wrestled last at 147 lb, although my coach was prodding me to drop to 140 lb. I have no illusions of every being that weight again except as the unhappy result of a wasting illness. I think that 172-175 may be feasible, although not without a good deal of work. My biggest problem is portion control, not necessarily poor caloric choices. When I have lost weight, it has generally been through the efforts of outside meal planners such as my mother or my now estranged wife. Right now, I am cooking for myself and my kids or ordering in, and neither approach is especially conducive to portion control.

I just noticed that you resumed your logging on AP after quite a sojourn. I'm astonished at your consistency - were you this regular before, and you just started logging it? In any case, your consistency and mileage will result in significant benefits during O-season. Likewise, I have just passed the 25 miles/week threshold, though my runs are far less regular.

I empathize with your weight considerations; I would very much like to be under 180 lbs, but lifestyle choices make that difficult. Good luck at the Gateway Grunt! I also had been meaning to comment on your excellent performance at Fair Hill in December; you ran very well. I hope to see you at the training camps in April.

I have never been this regular in the past, but I am honestly motivated as much as anything else by the success you have achieved through your recent commitment to the sport. I hope a little jealousy properly channeled can prove beneficial. I also doesn't hurt that I now have the additional motivation of two healthy dogs who thrive on regular exercise (and are sometimes destructively rambunctious when they fail to get it.)

Checking on the cont'd well-being of Park School...with ice cream bowl in hand, desiring seconds, planning on getting seconds, forgetting the weight for the moment or numerous moments.... My 2 healthy dogs with their daily expectation/"pacification" help negate my weaknesses some.
