We ran the P trail with Gari (and his boss lady, tho she wasn't at the time, and her sister) once upon a time. Was pretty nice woods for much of it and the river to cool off in.

I had forgotten that. Did you know the CT Walk Book, which describes and maps all the blue-blazed trails, is being updated? They've split it into two books: east and west. East is already out and it seems much improved over the old one. The western one is due out in the fall.

Funny - we went over to Borders Thurs to look for them and found the East. It's been reorganized a lot with descriptions of the trails with the maps. Not sure if the maps are better or not. The trails appear more accurate but they have included only the index contour lines and not much other detail. Also it's just the Blue Trails with very few of the side trails. Didn't read the write-ups. They may be helpful. Guess I'll wait to see the West to decide about buying.
