I hope that settles down for you soon. My experience is that those have a tendency to linger if not treated optimally from the outset.
It's a worry, though not as much of one as if my self-diagnosis is incomplete and I also did something to a tendon or a ligament in addition to what I felt happen in the muscle tissue. Only time will tell on that.
In any case, as Thierry said, if one must be injured, better to be so at the end of the season than somewhere in the middle.
