Hi Nadim,

Met you once here in st. Louis at forest 44. Your bike commute is pretty long, so that might be it, but i've found for me in general, biking makes my legs faster, at least for shorter distances. If I have a race on Saturday, sometimes a short fast tempo run on Friday will rev things up, if I try to taper and leave them for a few days, they stagnate. But its different for everyone.

Hi Rudy. I remember you. That was a cold dark rainy night but a fun one at Forest 44. I used to bicycle a lot more and did find that it helped me get faster running in many ways if I at least complemented the cycling by some running training. I believe I was (and still am) just feeling the pangs of getting in better shape along with some aging. I do taper some for races too but as I said, I really wasn't focused on the weekend competition in NY. I trained through it (would have run on Friday if I had the time) and I really was just glad to be there to enjoy it.
