No other AP users are going to understand anything of this but Super Ninja Monkey Team won the district final of the Rock Carousel. First price was studio equipment for 25 000 SEK and a chartered bus for 40 friends to the Swedish final May 16. I?ll be at the bus.

Hi Per.

Hey, the news was already out, I'd heard on Sunday (and I'd assume everyone else on AttackPoint knows because I'm usually the last person to find things out).

Mr. Newstream is going to be really famous.

Will they eventually make it to the Eurovision contest?

Oskar says hello to you and Gail.

I do not think they will even watch the Eurovision Song Contest. Not their type of music. But Oskar is going to use a Buckethead Stretch Guitar Strap in the final. But no KFC bucket.

Well, you never know what kind of music will find it's way in there. Lordi did win a couple of years ago...

Somehow that makes me smile. Usually it's the reverse, I'm out to lunch on cultural happenings and have no idea what the references are in other logs.

However, this being a log that believes in customer service, here's a few clues --

SNMT is the band that Erik Nyström's brother Oskar is in (Erik is an exchange student staying with Charlie DeWeese). Here's a sample. Oskar is the guy with no shirt. He's already got a new last name picked out (Newstream) for when he is famous.

Apparently it doesn't matter that the music is god-awful. :-)

Oh, he's a bass player. Well thats cool. I'll reserve judgment on the god-awfulness until I hear something with better quality than a bootleg youtube recording :)

I've been reading more about buckethead. I was given an album as a gift and didn't know much about him. Its a new age album (electric tears) and I really like it. Very mellow. But as I now understand it, this guy played lead guitar for guns'n'roses for a while until they couldn't take him anymore. Can you immagine?!? A guy who Axel Rose and Ozzy Ozbourne think is a freak composed one of my favorite new age albums. The world is just too crazy. Check it out at iTunes. Compare songs from Electric Tears with one of his other albums, Enter the Chicken. (hows that for thread hopping?)

I like his faster metal stuff too. Nice.

Is SNMT bass, drums, and vocals? That's all I can see. If so, that shows some chutzpah and elan. Huzzah!

It's guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Since I am their public relation manager (and driver, and sponsor, and...) I thought it would be a good idea to add a comment in the most read log on AP. Just to make them famous not only in Karlstad but also on another continent. Here is a link to our local newspaper. http://www.nwt.se/noje/article520294.ece Let me know if you need a translation.

The music sounds like it might be interesting; the base line in particular has a lot going for it. However, that recording definitely is god-awful.
