Congratulations on the birdie. I too shot a birdie on my first round this season, on a par 3 hole...and haven't seen another.

But since then, I've become the Bill Murray character in CaddyShack, whispering under my breath as I line up a shot: "It's a Cinderella story, Ladies and Gentlemen. A 68-year old duffer from Chicago, now on the 18th at Augusta, with 192 yards to the hole...."

In years past you spoke of doing some golf exercises to prepare for the season. I've done web searches and asked my instructor about golf exercises, and have found nothing. Do you still do them? And if so, what are they?

My physical therapist runs a pretty good business training golfers, both duffers and pros - mostly lady pros. I have done some, but I spend most of my therapy related time trying to rehab all my injuries, so not much time for golf specific training. The general theme of a lot of it is balance, lower body and core strength. He has dozens of exercises, and it would take well over an hour to go through the routine. I remember a lot of these exercises and can probably describe them, if you are interested enough.
