You did a superlative job. Obviously, if an event needs someone to Balter, one must go to the source.
Re: venue--I would have thought it would bring back memories of Kiev/Moscow. Dogs and trash... and hot. It really was like WOC 2007.
Most of the dogs had owners and some were leashed, Kiev did not have gay cruising area :)
You were an awesome announcer. I really enjoyed it!
How is the beast?
The beast is fine, still in the process of the apartment exploration. Well trained: 3 min after I brought Fresh Step Cat Litter she was busy doing her thing. Eats well so far. A little restless at night :)
The best comment I heard was that your announcing made it seem like we were in Europe at a relay race. I definitely enjoyed it - I have never had so much fun (and cheers) running down a finish chute! It also made the conclusion of the race very exciting.
It's also worth pointing out that technically, I'm not a meet director, but I don't have a formal job description except "results worker," which is a much less interesting epithet. And one I need to discharge by finishing uploading results.....
That's right. Ian wasn't meet director. MLC was ;)
my favorite comment was "theres joe warming up, looking strong as ever" you made me blush.
greg you going to buffalo? wnat age group?
I have not signed up, but I am done with M21+ for now, so M45+. I am going to Buffalo, though.
just got wrangled into doing support for a 4 day AR in michigan and will miss one or both days. call or email me about the billygoat next weekend and how many people are sleeping here.
Will you be have room for SI units, controls and little printer?
not sure who that was directed at george. rick and susie will also be making the drive - quite possibly on saturday. perhaps they can pick up the gear.
so K, z-man, balter, valery. anyone else? what time?
That was for Greg. Then we'll need to arrange for the kit.
Yep, 4 goats. We will come late past or around 9pm and go right to bed. How big is the kit? We should have enough space.
