I just tested positive for Lyme disease: my neurosurgeon thinks that it's the source of my neck and arm pain. Who knows what else. (Double vision problems, and heart arrhythmia, perhaps?) Anyway, I'd really like to talk about how you have dealt with this, especially since it seems you've had a successful outcome!

well, so far so good. I really like the Lyme specialist I'm seeing in East Longmeadow. I've got to head out the door for Fall River, but lets talk at some point...

3 plus weeks of antibiotics unless it's been around for quite a while.

Probably been around for at least two years, maybe five or eight. So I don't think the odds are good that it will just be resolved with one course of doxycycline. But I can always hope.

if its not a recent case, then long term antibiotics are probably in store - I've been on them 6 months now. I'm almost 100% sure I contracted the initial case field checking Norwottuck when I re-did that map in 2002. I know I had quite a few deer ticks (that I found and plucked) when working the Bachelor Street portion of the map - and I know you frequent that area from time to time...
