We're lucky here with woods so close, although my favorite stretch is maybe 500m wide by 1000m long...I just run back and forth a lot!
Did you hurdle anything cool at full speed?
So far there is only one part of West Point that I will always use gaiters. All others are good. I doubt you need them there. ;-)
Jordan....do pushups. LOTS of them.
You should probably not encourage her to end up looking like me...
I don't know what your problem is Hannah. I don't have the scratches you have....
haha, I know *you* wouldn't wear gaiters here, but I already saw what your leg looked like after a run where gaiters apparently weren't necessary ;-)
>>Did you hurdle anything cool at full speed?
A few logs, but they were pretty normal...I did jump up the earth bank on the side of the stream, which was fun. I was a little worried that the traction wouldn't be good enough on my shoes and I'd fall back in :-).
I'm pretty sure you just can't see yours since you don't shave your legs. I am also a much more clumsy person.
Nice!
Falling back in...ask Hannah about doing that this past weekend! The waist deep water we ended up in made it into the meet notes...
That scrape would not have been solved with gaiters. The only solution was spikes, which is why I am not saying anything about those.
haha... Yes, I went swimming in the process of trying to jump over the creek, and then falling in backwards after a bad landing. I probably would have gotten less wet if I had just waded through!
oh jeez, about cut up legs and falling in streams...
I need arm gaiters and I need to stop running STRAIGHT into branches... I ended up w/ a bunch in my face.
I wimped out after one and stuck to the trails.
I often wear a hat of some sort to keep the branches and other stuff out of my face. Cobwebs, especially - I hate that about fall orienteering.
thats a good idea! that'll probably help w/ things getting caught in my glasses too.

Nice! I didn't quite fall in, but it was enough so I'll wear spikes next time :-).
