How did the rocklites work for you? Did you have to get your feet wet at all? Just curious, as I've never done anything that long myself.

I liked them! This course had a lot more road than I would have liked (though I stuck to the verge for the most part), and these shoes would definitely not be good for road work. But there was plenty of trail and offtrail to try them on, and their aggressive tread made them stick like glue. They were quite comfortable. Not as good for orienteering races (upt to 2 hr) as the mudclaw 330s (heavier), but lots more padding. After 3 hours, they started to feel a bit too stiff and hard underfoot, but I think i'd have had that feeling about any shoe. However, afterwards I see that the toe-cap leather is now separating from the shoe fabric, so i may need to send them back for replacement. I think it just didn't get glued and stiched quite right in one spot. I am still a big inov8 fan, different (in fit, feel, and outlook) though they are.
