No, speaking from personal lessons, being rash risks not being able to try. Not even age relevant really, given the horrible history of shin problems amongst Bendigo juniors. What is our count up to now? Ev, Bryan, Ilka come to immediate mind. Was Clare in there as well?

It's actually more likely in the kiddies from what we usually see - they're more motivated and haven't realised they're not indestructible yet.

Hey Jim - was talking to some other oldies at a 10km; seems its still possible to go reasonably fast however old, as long as we get heaps of recovery - and cycling seems to be useful too (who: guy 58, running 38 for 10km, woman late 30s ex mtn run nat chmp, run 40 for 10 but wins inbetter in the hills).
Trevor Jacobs is the man to talk to though, in Canberra. I think he coaches Emma Murray as well as holding lots of vet records.
