but I've seen you report a HR of 104%, which is obviously technically impossible...
have you ever done a test to figure out what your max HR really might be, or do you just assume its 220-age?
I started with that, but since then I keep adjusting it when I get a new high result. I've figured that the readings aren't accurate when in water, so I ignore the max HR readings when i've had a swim while paddling.
But to answer your question, nope, haven't had a proper test. Do you know any uni students that need a test subject?
Run up parabolic hill 3 times maximum effort with plenty of full recovery. eg. 5mins. You will hit max heart rate! No need for a lab to measure that sort of stuff.
