They said they did it so as to make it easier to understand, and sometimes they bent it around the number as well. I think it was a little unnecessary

I think 1-2, and 18-19 are not needed, keep the line straight and move the number. 1-2 was made harder with a fence running along near the line, and it was hard to bring your mind to cross it
