Did you ck the blue length? - think I saw you put 8.555k or so in for splits but 9.15 or so for course. Green, I think (did not keep clue sheet, never used after first glance before starting) was listed at 4.9k by the door to cabin but really was 4.1 in ocad.

Hey Jeff, you were really smoking those first ten legs through some crappy terrain. I hobbled around with a bad hip and back, and threw in a 16 minute error to boot. Doesn't bode well for the Traverse. I'll put up my splits.

I measured the course at 8.44 k - my leg measurements were often ten meters shorter than yours. I never can understand how often these advertised measurements at local meets - 9.15 for blue - are so far off.

w/o something like the ideal ocad measuring tool which, of course, assumes a scan or making courses w/ same, it takes really careful measurement - I use my compass scale & am w/in 1/2mm one way or another/leg, it evens out - listing in a very straight column & then adding that long column correctly...

I measured course after initial posting, and found it quite different from advertised. I was feeling very good about run until I crossed the river, but then I really felt unable to read the map in the most technical area, and I lost some confidence (perhaps with good reason) for the rest of the race. There was also some degree of fatigue that set in, especially on the run-in, so it remains to be seen if I can complete the Traverse without cramping up.
