correction: Pearson rounds results to whole minutes. And people who learned from him, I guess.

It's a bit annoying, but not harmful, I suppose. A NEOC peculiarity. :-)

Its just a local meet, so not a big deal - but when the top 3 on red are 53, 54 & 54 - its just interesting to know how close it really was. Top 3 as of when I left, the new improved Phil may have smoked us all ... :-)

His time was posted at 60 minutes, as was Glen's. Glen talked to him and said Phil was faster...

The new improved Phil was very pleased to get around in 60 minutes!

Rounding is absurd: what difference does it make that it's a "local meet"? Can you imagine going, say, to a 10 k road race and finding the results were all rounded down to the nearest minute! Orienteering is no less a competitive sport than running (just a lot smaller).

I think the times should all have been rounded to the nearest hour. Then we'd have a multi-way tie for first. :-) Fortunately, my time was truncated so the official results will show that Phil and I tied.
