shift "extended by several hours due to paperwork issues..." Not dodging malpractice issues, just administration stuff? Time & a half for that, right?:)
Plan a 7p-7a Sat/Sun before the Traverse & we can make a wager...:)
Paper work included special "Fetal Demise Certificate" available only at full-fledged hospital (which I chose to obtain on the way home so that I could have oversight to insure that it was filled out in the requisite fashion), plus debriefing after 7+ month stillbirth on my shift, plus issues surrounding refusal of Boston EMS to transport fetus with mother due to policy of not transporting the deceased which required systematic review of the policy. Needless to say, was not my least disconcerting shift of all time. Regarding wager, I plan to pass on the Sat overnight, but you are welcome to handicap yourself if you wish.
