Discussion: Penalties rather than DNF

2 minute penalties for each error seems standard for the format. Was forced to do this on seeing half the finishers were dnf under normal rules. All on the web site. Took a fair bit of time to see where the errors were for each runner. Summary:
Wrong loop direction: 5
Plain wrong control: 7
Missed loop: 2 (Max and Warren)
That was a very gentle analysis as well. I gave credit wherever I thought there was a remote chance of administrative error. So there may well have been some wrong loop orders that I forgave.

That sounds a fair way to do it

Still, I don't agree with my result on the second race.
