I got those regularly during early skiing season and usually from an apparently harmless bending over. Time for strengthening stretches?

Did you drive to Lake Placid with a back as you describe?

He's not signed up for the ski-O champs.

Oh he's signed up alright. He's "Event & Course Advisor". And he was one of the folks bravely standing out there organizing people in the pre-start area. Hats off to them, except hats not off today!

Ah, so he is. I didn't realize he'd be there, since advisors often work remotely.

Back improved over a couple of days. Was careful how I moved and tried some stretches - Ernst - do you have a list of the magic tricks you do each morning to keep your back and hips working?
Cardiologist has warned me off ibuprofen and and naproxen, but aspirin is OK with my stomach seeming to handle it OK. Three in the morning with breakfast and 3 with dinner seem to be OK and have helped ease my back out..
It was a long drive to Lake Placid and back, but made frequent stops to walk around and get the kinks out. Although I knew racing would be ill-advised, I decided I wanted to be there and help out and see folks. Good thing, as Linda Kohn tested positive for covid, so she and Rick stayed home, which decimated the start crew.
Standing around the start didn't seem to stress it. Was open to some skiing each day, but Fri and Sat were both so cold and I was wiped out. Happy I was able to get out Sunday and ski the Green course - about 1:39 by my watch.

Thanks for your efforts, and it was great seeing you yesterday, sorry we didn't have the opportunity to talk.
