Looks like things are not improving for the Cowboys in 2023. Ken Pom now at 169. Syracuse keeps losing close games with young team. KenPom at 81.
Rumor has it that Josh Allen still has lots of energy left after getting knocked out of the playoffs early and has offered to play for the Cowboys BB for the rest of the season. He doesn't promise to score much, but says the other team will know when he is on the court. His best skills are the long outlet pass and jumping over defensive players.

Still too many wounded, walking wounded/ill, and players that if they were horses, they would have already been put down.
Unfortunately, the problems at this point appear to go deep than that, with whole games going by where the players who can still move without mechanical aids seem to have forgotten that it's not enough to score a lot of points, that the other team is also trying to score a lot of points, and that the odds of winning go up a lot if you make some effort to make it harder on the other team to score.
But who knows. Maybe they have correctly calculated their best chances lay with playing really hard on the offensive end and being somewhat lax on defense. That's why the coaches get paid the big bucks, after all.
Probably, though, more to the truth is that it's just been that kind of a season, where almost everything that could go wrong has gone wrong.
At this point, the best thing for a Cowboy fan to do is to focus on one or more of the teams that have been doing surprisingly well. Like Clemson! Who would have picked them to be leading the ACC this far in?!
