Good to see you out there (a few times), one of the few people we saw all day in fact. We tried going the other direction - 78>69 and quickly got mired in the laurel, we caught a break and found that the indistinct trail along the hunting boundary had been lopped in the past couple years, so at least it was a narrow channel of lower knee high laurel, but a lot of 8-12" stubble, so the travel was slow, but at least it was a straight line and we knew where it was going. Got clear of the crap NE of the control and able to come into it just fine from there. And then lucked into the indistinct trail through the laurel headed down the powerline. Our day fell apart shortly after seeing you at 79 - we did attempt to go west and spent close to 2 hours with no controls before turning for home and picking up a few high pointers on the way in.

ah, you were the team of 3 with matching yellow shirts. btw, you found me "chilling" at 79, because I was traveling solo and focused on avoiding injury, keeping hydrated and cool, not overheating. My goal was to enjoy Nature. Maybe that was a fetish of mine in wanting to cross that creek with mountain laurel and rhododendron. Mission accomplished.
