Listening to new stuff or somehting from White Stripe days? I think how he filled sound just with an electric guitar and drums in Seven Nation Army was brilliant piece. Last rock-band that managed to make full and not boring sound with limited number of contributing instruments was ZZ Top.

I was listening to "Get Behind Me Satan", which is still relatively new - I am not sure if I enjoy "Icky Thump" quite as much. But the limited instruments is what he excels at because Raconteurs' music was really boring. That must be why he went back to White Stripes.

On the subject of music - normally I tend to listen to something very mellow because my natural tendency is to run faster than I intend.

When I run outside I rarely listen to any music. I don't even have iPod or any other MP3 player. When I came to US in 1994 I bought Sony Walkman Radio/Cassette player and nobody would see me without it for about 5-6 years. I had it with me everywhere - home, work, shopping running, etc. Then I became more serious at work and stopped brining to work. Then I lost it somewhere and I switched to smaller radio units (before MP3 players) when I would go out running. One day during planned 9 mile run batteries died in like mile 2. I thought I'd die from boredom by end of the run. However after the run I concluded that I enjoyed my run in different ways. Since I did not have any noise in my ears it had somewhat meditating kind of effect. It's kind of giving your mind a rest while you still awake. Quite often I'd come up with solution for problem I encountered earlier that day or week during those runs.

Different story wheh I run on treadmill at the gym - if I can't watch TV I would not be able to run for more then 10 minutes. Sometimes I even plan my gym workout schedule around what's on TV. Like football on Sunday nights. I used to kill at least one six-pack while watching football on Sundays that lead to mild headaches on Mondays usually. Over time I concluded that does not make any sense...
