What is worse?
a) Swinging a ski pole at a competitor
b) Deliberately crashing into a competitor after the race
c) Racing for a country caught for State-sponsored doping
d) coached by a guy previously suspended for doping cases
e) All of the above
I’m with the US coach on this one but for reasons more than just b.
On a more positive note I’m happy to see Norway winning golds again at World Cup ski races. Also Georgian Nordic skier Graham Ritchie is racing in Lahti. Such a nice guy. Had several chats with him over the holidays at GN.
As soon as I saw it I'm worried about jr boys thinking this is cool and will try it. Good on the US coach saying you were be severely punished, don't even think about it.
The rest of the ski world is less thrilled to see Norway winning, boring!
By the way I also refer to the HV trails in the ‘west’ as Medonte. That is where i also used to mostly race and train in high school and I really loved the HV trails, especially the south side.
To this day, still pretty awesome that GLOF was able to be held in those woods. Did you win the NAOC?
I never won NAOC in Canada. Won in 92, 96 and 2000 in US but 2nd to BG in 94 by 17s at Horseshoe and 2nd to BMay in 98 by 6s in BC.
Trust BG won COCs at HV as you were course setter?
Ritchie didn't race in the Saturday race but started for Canada in the relay.
