And I was totally wrong:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foymount,_Ontario

I love that wiki mocks Foymount for falsely claiming the highest point.

But you were skiing so you win!

Highest point in Ontario is Ishpatina Ridge in Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Park - 693 m. It is famous in our community because it was used as a CP in the CARA Champs during black fly season. The photos of racers emerging from the forest with swollen faces failed to attract new participants to the sport.

The highest trails at Highlands Nordic are just over 540 m. There are houses on the same block of land that appear to be around 525 m. The "highest elevation of any populated place" in Ontario is supposed to be 526 m in the Dundalk Highlands so that might be the place. Our property there rises to more than 470 m.

I think I've heard about that CARA Champs race and the horrendous bugs!

Here's the wiki on Foymount:
Foymount falsely claims to be Ontario's highest populated point at 500 meters (1,600 ft) above sea level, well below Dundalk's 529 meters (1,736 ft)

The wiki on the Dundalk Highlands said 526 m so the moral of the story is, don’t trust Foymount! ;)

Edit: It also says 529 m so I’ll change that to: don’t trust wiki!

Who knew you could be bitten so much that your whole face would swell up.

Even knowing that is you, I never recognize you in that photo. Which is good, I guess.
