Happy to see exactly what I expected o your log today. Well done and happy birthday.

I expected to see this on your log too, but not necessarily today. That wind made this one of the least friendly days for a long ride that we've had all fall. Must have taken a lot of perseverance. Which you have in spades. Happy 76th.

Bravo, and Happy Birthday! And it will just get easier with each successive year. ;-)

I swear I never thought about this during the ride, but in retrospect, if there was ever a day for an e-bike.... :-)

Thanks for the thoughts. I recovered enough by late afternoon to manage what has become a weekly phone call with my brother that has become a weekly joy. And then to both order and go pick up a birthday dinner from the fine restaurant just down the street, just one of each item, we share, and there is some left over for the next evening (except the dessert).

A fine birthday.

I'm not sure too many e-bikes have a 76 mile range, and once the battery is empty, that would be a really, really heavy beast to have to pedal the rest of the way home...

Mine is maybe good for half that distance on level 1, but it also rides like a real bike with the motor off. Not all that heavy.

Good to know - I assumed hauling an empty battery and motor would make it a beast to pedal. But perhaps not...

I’ve got a 35-lb e-bike that’s fine to ride without assist on the flats and downs but more importantly, happy birthday, Peter!
