Wild Wild Country on Netflix is a documentary series about the cult that used to live where the Big Muddy rogaines were in central Oregon. (This isn't exactly what you're asking about, but it's close)

Oh oh! Speaking of rogaines, they were literally filming action scenes of the apocalypse movie 2012 *during* a rogaine near Kamloops, BC (the location was a stand-in for Yellowstone). We saw/heard helicopters with cameras flying around, and on drive in/out of the event center, we saw some of the modified RV's (with camera mounts) used in the movie parked along the road, some food service tents, etc.

The town in Fistful of Dollars was built in the stretch of road west of 9 on this map: http://www.sprintseries.org/doma/show_map.php?user...

Yeah, I think many college campuses would make this list. I forget which movies, but Gina told me that a few movies were shot at Gonzaga, as a stand-in for some east coast colleges.

Vancouver has lots of filming and lots of O-maps. The list here would be long. My favorite is probably the TV Show Arrow - Lots of easily identified features from the island are on the Rice Lake O-Map (the cave he finds the drugs in, the cliff they throw him off when he supposed to be dead etc)

Vasquez Rocks has seen a bunch from what Clare told me, although only Star Trek sticks in my memory.
