That's a good idea! I've had people make *me* do that so I'm not sure why I didn't think of having Lukas do it. He's fairly comfortable moving on two skis but he doesn't really glide very . much. Part of that is probably that he's still using very short skis (the same ones I got him when he was 2!) but I think he'd get a big kick out of being able to do it without as much fear, with one foot available to stop/slow/scoot.

Totally! Not sure how it actually happened, I came back from my race and she only had one ski on. Hope Lukas finds it fun!!

You can always take it a stage further & play tag with all of you just wearing one ski; this is what the instructor did with our JOK group of beginners in Gålå a few years ago & it really seemed to help. People focussed on the game & getting about on skis (at the bottom of a slope) just happened naturally.
If you do play, make sure you get everyone to swap which foot has the ski on it at some point, so you get used to gliding on each foot.
