I'm sure I'm not the first and won't be the last but just wanted to thank everyone who made the Flying Pig possible once again! Especially since I missed the cave country round last time it was held. It was incredible scenery, a very challenging course on Sat, a fun one on Fri, and you also ordered much better weather than typical for a Flying Pig! What a great time for me and my family once again, thank you!!
Agree wholeheartedly! Great to get back to the caves. Though took a bit to remember this orienteering thing Friday, all three days were fun with nice courses, good organization as always and quick posting of results. Look forward to returning to OCIN country.
Yes indeed! Great job OCIN.
Indeed, it was close to perfect. Thanks.
Thanks OCIN! My family had a great time.
Thanks to everyone involved, it was a very nice weekend!
We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the courses in this beautiful and challenging terrain. The dinner, speaker, and cave tour were all great as well. And with the various shuttles and ability to stay at the lodge, it was especially nice to just park the car on Friday and not have to move it until Sunday. My only regret is not taking an extra day off to explore or revisit some areas on Monday!
I had a GREAT time! THANK YOU to all the Flying Pig volunteers.
Tons of fun, thanks for a fantastic weekend. I love running (and staying) at Carter Caves - please bring us back again in a few years. And a special thanks to the start crew for making sure the whole family got out Sat and that we caught our plane Sun.
Fantastic event, Syd and I both had a great time! thanks to everyone that made it happen.
Big thanks to entire crew for always enjoyable Flying Pig events! Especial huge thanks to Mike for being the heart of these events and a big inspiration for past and future event organizers!
Nicest touch of the Pigs? The "locator maps" in the packet. Just the right amount of information packaged just right for Us.
Great job OCIN! Thanks again!
The Pig was actually good. Two key ingredients were there: map and courses.
It was refreshing to see a map properly field-checked, for once, instead of a typical base map with those "squiggly lines".
Also people who designed the courses both days (I did not run on Friday) visibly tried to make them interesting, to stretch the runners mentally, to evoke their critical thinking. Mostly they succeeded.
Don’t worry everyone, I took a screen shot of the positive comment from yurets so it will be forever remembered.

Despite his use of the word 'actually', I'm having a really hard time processing yurets' positive comments -- they may be the only comments on AP about the course setting at this year's Pig. (Most entries about the Pig are about the logger's mistakes on her/his course). So, many thanks, yurets, for your comments. We did work quite hard to design challenging and beautiful courses. Given your history of sarcasm on AP, your comments are especially meaningful. I'd like to attribute this change in tone to your recently having joined BOK, a group of unusually mild-mannered and positive orienteers.
The meet was great! Any chance the maps will be posted on Route Gadget?
