A huge thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who made the NAOC/COC week such a success. Just a great week of orienteering. Thanks to the club's ... Yukon Orienteering, GVOC and FWOC!
What an amazing week of orienteering! Great terrain, great courses, great weather.
Everything was well organized and there were lots of fun activities built into the week.
Next time I just need to not get so involved (announcing, OCan Conference, coaching, etc.) so I can enjoy it that much more ;)
Yes, as already said above, very good organising and fun, quality racing through out the week! Looking forward to next time in Whitehorse.
Really enjoyed it. Thank you everyone.
Thanks everyone for an epic week of racing! Some beautiful arenas, fun courses and lots to do. Thanks!
Thank you for great organizing, terrain and courses. Extra thank you for the great shuttle bus service to the events (saved us renting a car) and the "Quite zone" at the start.
Also thanks to the organizers and all involved. It was fun to do such a small bit of volunteering and be able to rub shoulders with such dedicated and capable volunteer committee heads.
Great terrain. I think we have to resurrect the idea of Yukon hosting Canada's first JWOC or better WMOC.
Also it was so sad to participate in events and to think this or that feature was probably as a result of the input of the late Adrian Zissos who was listed as co-controller of several of the events.
Big Thanks to every single person who planned it and made it a super interesting week of orienteering, We had high class racing for all of us, of different ages and abilities. It was very well thought and executed. It looked like you paid just enough for the weather to be great, too.
I was very impressed. To have a club in a place the size of Whitehorse large enough to be able to (largely) organise a week of this size is very impressive.
Much as I like the idea, I don't think Whitehorse (as a town) has the capacity to cope with an event the size of WMOC - NAOC stretched its limits in areas such as accommodation and rental cars, and a WMOC would probably be 3-4 times the size.
A super wonderful week. Thanks to the many who were involved! I can’t wait to be back to orienteering in the Yukon. Weeks like this are what make me love orienteering. Thanks for inviting us to your beautiful home!
Great week of orienteering in a beautiful part of the world.
Thanks so much to the organizers! The terrain, maps, and organization were amazing, and it was fun to see a part of Canada I'd never seen before!
Thank you so much to all of the organizers and volunteers! I haven't had that much fun orienteering in years! What a great week of racing with good friends in a beautiful place.
I really had a great time and especially enjoyed picking up controls on the last day...felt like I finally got into the map! There was so much amazing orienteering and organizing...as well as having so much cultural info and fun things to do. Thanks to all!
It was a great week of orienteering, thank you!
A wonderful week of orienteering--such great courses, maps, terrain, and organization. I neglected to add my plaudits to the earlier relay thread, let me belatedly do it here--it was great to see so many people involved in a relay in North America.
Huge Thank You to all of the organizers. It was an amazing event in an amazing place. Love Yukon!
I'd like to join the chorus of thank-yous here. This was a great festival of orienteering in top-notch terrain and in spectacular settings. My family and I had a fantastic time and are already missing the cool Yukon mornings and evenings in the DC swelter...
I’d like to add to the thanks. Fun event really enjoyed the Canadian Champs middle.
Also just thought of posting here:
I was really moved by the idea of the sticker created for Adrian and the five life lessons/things to live by. However I totally forgot to pick one up. Are they still around somewhere for me to acquire some?
