You clearly need professional help. If you want to lasso it, bring in Texas Tom. If you want to shoot it, bring in Swampfox. It you want to dispose of it professionally, call in Ross. If you want a catch and release program, Charlie is your man. And if you just want to ponder the wonder of it all, get Phil.

This is not something you should be trying on your own.

Plus, it's easier to lasso a set of keys locked in the car than a squirrel!

Not to worry, I'm not in this entirely alone. Nancy was here yesterday morning assisting with the bedsheet approach. She has experience in these matters, being the head of a household that includes rodents (Nicole is a gerbil owner). And she knows how to deal with problems involving critters on the loose. A couple of years ago, one of the gerbils got loose just after midnight and decided to hole up deep in the recesses of the piano. Nancy knew exactly how to handle the situation, and within an hour, the gerbil was safely back in the cage and everybody was in bed.

She called J-J.

On more than one occassion I've had to remove squirrel nests from our Ylang-Ylang

Havahart trap with sunflower seeds (or rotting jaboticaba's) usually do the trick here. But you need to take the problem rodent at least a couple towns away or they find their way back in no time.

Squirrels are far different that domesticated gerbils. Like Clint, we have had a number of havahart captures and the squirrels are pretty vicious. Wouldn't want to get too near one that was partially secured.

Maybe you should light a fire to test that it has vacated.
