We have good friends who have a boy 14 months younger than Matti and 9 months older then Lena. In the beginning when Lena was still a baby, Matti played with Vasco and Vasco didn't want Lena to touch his toys. Now that Lena is 2.5 and Vasco is not yet 4 years old, he wants to play with Lena and not Matti and Matti thinks Vasco is too young;-)
Another playing together story: I have two girlfriends with girls literally the same age as Lena. We get together regularly, so they know each other, but the 4 girls (there is a set of twins) never play together. Same age kids take a lot longer to play together then if there is an age difference. Us girlfriends are always frustrated because we think we will have time to chat together, but most often each of us is chasing one of our girls...
