I play curated lists of my music on runs with my kids in the chariot, but for my daughter Bieber trumps it all!!

I blame it on my wife.

Brilliant race, Boris, and a very nice write-up. Interesting to read about so many controls you "missed", but you were the only runner for whom AP assigned no lost time. Good concentration and quick recoveries.

you know this sentence has a very different meaning when you stop reading at the number 22.

Funny children's songs story. When Mark Adams' daughter was a few years old Mark was driving himself to work (about a 40 minute commute). It wasn't until he was getting into the company parking lot when he realized he had been listening to (and apparently singing along to) Raffi the entire way (https://www.facebook.com/Raffi.Cavoukian/)

Hats off to you and the other dads for a really impressive race. I won, but you guys stayed pretty close considering our respective level of training.

I continue to maintain that you and your generation constitute some of our most technically-adept orienteers. It gives me a goal to strive towards.

Priceless. I still catch Sandra Boynton songs running through my head from time to time, but I've never had the opportunity to share the experience with anyone on a course. Way to go, dads!

I find the melodies a little bit clunky - but most definitely memorable. :)

Oh brother, Barnyard Dance. My kids are 16 now and I still remember that one. And don't forget "This is the song that never ends..."

Where do I find the melodies for these books? I just Sing-a-Song them to Inara

I do the same and it comes out more spoken word, less song-y.

There are Boynton songbooks, which come with CDs. Amazon pulls them up if you search on Boynton music.
