The schedule is here! We'll try and get times up soon, but for now, here's the deal:

Thursday
AM: North Point Park, Cambridge. Introductions, basic trainings, longer sprint trainings
PM: Pine Banks Park, Medford. Park race! Format may be chase start, I'm still working on that.

Friday
AM/PM: Franklin Park, all day! Training exercises and theoretical exercises in the morning, one-man relay or other head-to-head relay practice in the afternoon. Opportunities to visit the zoo during lunch!

Saturday
AM: Boston Common. Training courses and short sprints on two different maps. (but one is a renegade map, so we aren't telling you where until you get here)
PM: Moakley Park, Boston. Sprint relay! Partner assignments tbd... open to suggestions :)

Sunday
AM/PM: Minuteman National Historical Park, Concord. Knock-out sprint race! This is the only one not on public transit (that bus doesn't run on Sundays), and because it is a little further away and there is limited parking, we are going to try and coordinate carpooling.

All our events except for Sunday are accessible via public transportation, and we'll try to help you out with rides to Sunday if you aren't bringing a car.

Also, tons of fun activities for you this year when we're not training and racing! We have no association with any of these events, we just think they're awesome things to see and do.

Thursday is the Scooper Bowl, which means tons and tons of ice cream to benefit the Jimmy Fund. Excellent lunchtime activity, though good luck running fast that evening after eating your weight in ice cream.

Thursday's events will also be near the northern terminus of the Boston Freedom Trail, for you history buffs who want to do a little exploring. We'll have a good long break between lunch and the next training, so take your time. https://www.thefreedomtrail.org

Friday at Franklin Park, there's plenty of time during lunch to go visit the zoo, which we really recommend, because the red pandas are super cute.

Saturday we're starting the day in downtown Boston, which has the first 3/4 of the freedom trail, other tourist destinations, and shopping. Or if you're into something more relaxed, Moakley park is right next to Carson Beach.

Finally, Sunday, at the Minuteman National Historical Park, is perfect for the history buffs. Go visit the North Bridge during lunch, or swing by the visitor center to see what else they're showing off.

Morning trainings will run from 9-noon, and afternoon trainings and races will start back up at 3pm.

I'll be sending the detailed schedule out to registrants on Tuesday.

For each venue, could you please comment on ticks, poison ivy and footing (shoe choice)?

Yes! I am working on a detailed schedule with just that information in it, that I'll be sending to registered participants tonight or tomorrow.
