Discussion: southern hemisphere compass
in: World Masters Orienteering Championships 2017 (Apr 22–29, 2017 - Woodhill Forest, Auckland, NZ)
last effort to secure two compasses for our upcoming event in NZ. anyone? I'll make it worth it. a few fresh IPA's from a northeastern USA brewer. Sip of Sunshine? Hobbit Juice?
You could always take advantage of the inflated value of the US$ and buy a compass in NZ then donate it to a local school program when you are ready to leave. (After breaking my expensive Aussie thumb compass that is what I did in '02.)
If you are willing to use a baseplate compass, it is possible to get one with a global needle so that it can be used worldwide. (for example, the Suunto M-3G)
How about a couple of Brother Thelonius?
I might be able to get my hands on some BT
