How readable is the sprint map at 1:5000? Are gaps and stairwells and all visible at a run for older people? If not, is 1:4000 for 50 and up a possibility?

Sergey, Long winning Blue time shell be ~90-100 min, course looks to be short, unless it is 10 min/km terrain.

10000:1 is going to be a huge map! Will we be navigating around a microprocessor die?

(Just getting in here before tRicky has a chance...)

It is tough terrain, indeed. It will test all your orienteering skills, as well as speed, strength, and endurance (for long). There is only one road and one trail on each map so any mistake will be costly :)

I am personally testing all courses to comply with the requirements. As these are preliminary stats they may be revised before map printing, of course.

5000:1 is adequate for BSU Campus. Sprint will be fun and furious :)

Why does a click on the event website take us to an event that took place in 2015 in Boise and Idaho City?

If there is, it probably doesn't matter much where you are.

So you may as well be enjoying the Idaho terrain.

I liked the days before the media felt the need to prefix everything with 'super' and I could look forward to retiring and spending my annuation in peace.

That's a super idea tricky.

Côte de Soleil could be the only habitable place then, as avg temp is expected to drop more than 20 degrees. If this physicist is right, 10% probability of occurrence in the next 100 years is in fact huge, this should be the headline news

If it is going to happen, what do you recommend we do about it, other than take advice from Jimmy Buffet?

JJ, I am not taking chances, will be moving in August to the Gulf Coast, which will be still comfortably warm after that expected temperatures drop.
