Hey, I loved that comment (smirked all evening), and now its gone. Phil and I need to savor our rare (unlikely to ever happen again in our lifetime) victories.

Looks like you had a better day Sunday; balance in the universe is restored. :)

Better today, clean and relatively accurate... Still way back of Tim, Bo etc..

Goal today was to catch Phil (6 minutes?) and run a cleaner, smarter race. Caught site of Phil by 7, but didn't want to chase him down on trails, so changed my plan shortly after starting leg to 8 which was a bad choice. Also got sucked into joining a train leaving 10 (not just Phil) which was my second bad choice of the day.

Quite happy with my navigation when not influenced by others (10 of 13 legs), the rest is Phils fault. ;-)

I mean it must be, right? The common element on those three legs is Phil was in view at some stage...

Oh yes, the well documented "Phil effect" extends a long way. Phil was only meters away from me for my last severe ankle blow out. And I'm sure he was responsible for the Segway hamstring incident; I just haven't figured out how yet.

etc made us all look old and called us on it (I know,I know ... speak for yourself ...). Fortunately, she'll be moving on up soon enough leaving the field wide open for the experienced elite once again. Until the next whippersnapper comes along. Darn youth. ;-)
