I had to peek at the end after only two paragraphs, I couldn't take the suspense. That sounds like a very stressful day.

Tired dog, happy ending.

We went hiking with my sister's dog, and he was pretty good off leash but at the campsite he spent quite a long time chasing loons in the lake. The loons were provoking him, we're sure, diving and coming up just 10 meters behind him again and again. We started to worry that Hershey was going to get too tired to swim any longer but would be unable to leave off the chase.... luckily he eventually gave up and came back to shore.

This was an extremely suspenseful story. Glad you are all ok

That sounds like a very scary and stressful experience. Very good to hear that Barney is with you again.

I'm sure Barney thinks it was you all who got lost. Happy to be reading stories of outdoor adventures on your log again :)
