Yeah, trying to be as optimistic as possible, the changes to my training schedule and how I train thanks to the whole ankle thing has been interesting. I've had a LOT of hours at steady output in the saddle (no standing stuff), and go figure, it's translating to feeling better in real life on the bike. Just need a team that can carry me (or at least my stuff) on the trek sections!

I bet there's only a little bit of trekking in Ireland -- you'll be just fine :)

Yeah, and I hear it's all on paved trails, with a slight downhill...

That's exactly what I remember from the race in Scotland.

Good point! Yep, broken foot for the last two days, including a mammoth trek. Garrison, you'll be just fine!

Why do I feel like I'm going to be thinking to myself "Abby did it on a broken foot" a LOT this season? When my PT gets mad at me, I'll pass on your guys' contact info!

Your PT can chat with my PT (fair warning -- he used to adventure race!).

Carrying stuff on the trek sections eh?! If you are looking for a team and happy to trade nav brain for mule strength...

Irish mountain terrain is mostly soft, wet and full of holes.. BUT the rocky exceptions are often on the Wild Atlantic Way
