I can't tell who was first.
It was so well written (-: how could I not use it
What kind of map was used for the orienteering?
I think it must have been the MTBO map.
With permission I wonder? Perhaps someone from Nillumbik might enlighten us?
If I saw it I might be able to identify it, as one of the field workers and custodians of the NE/ParksVic orienteering maps. Advice from those familiar with the orienteering map is that it was a colour photocopy of our map with copyright notice and ParksVic and NE identification removed.
Not a very smart thing to do if that is indeed the case!
I am told this is a common practice with these types of activities. I am told that something similar occurred with the orienteering map of Yarra Bend.
The matter is with our solicitor president.
How much did you pay to enter the event? How many entries?
If someone can provide us with a copy of the map we would like it as evidence.
Maybe us Vic orienteers would have gone one better if we sent the A team!!
Seriously, well done guys.
Have you got a copy of the map(s)? I have been told that a copy of an orienteering map may have been used without permission and I want to follow this up.
It was $264 per team of 3 to enter. Each team got 1 map. I think there were around 100 teams. I'm not sure who ended up with the map in our team - probably me. I'll try and locate it when I get back to Melbourne on Friday.
Go easy on them - they seem really nice people.
They had permission to use our map - it is available for sale under our arrangements with ParksVic. It's what they did to the map which is contentious.
I ended up with the map, who should I send it to, Oxoman or Prez, I will need a postal address
Now that it seems to be less of an issue I don't need the map
Thanks Jim
It's still an issue if they have breached copyright, which they appear to have done, and if they haven't paid up, which is also the case.
Oxoman, do you want the map, if so give me a postal address
