The one route posted so far shows the participant did not miss out any controls. In Goat events participants are usually able to skip one control. This helps spread out the field. What was the rule in the Python Long?
Did any participants go left around the lake at the Start rather than to the right?

Mr Wonderful:
Two skips were allowed for the Python (one for each of the shorter ones), with no skipping of odd numbered controls. I thought I overheard a participant say he stuffed up some early control, so having already goofed, he might as well do all of them, so it was an intentional deviation I believe.

Many Python runners went left, including photographer Sherpes (and might include a few non Pythons?)

I just loaded my GPS route, but it's not right. I skipped 8, but the load forced the route to connect with 8, skewing the rest of the route. Is there a way to inform RouteGadget which controls to skip ?

When goat event is uploaded as it should every runner should have own kind of course. And GPS track would be aligned using splits and the very controls competitor visited. Like here: http://qocweb.org/routes/cgi-bin/reitti.pl?act=map...

Python Goat isn't set up like that, it is set up as a normal point to point course even if it not. So obviously GPS calibration by splits or drawing based animations and things like that will not work as it intended.

You could have tried manual calibration. Or possibly removing (with mouse right click) all blue points after the correct ones (except the last one).

The winner (Aragorn) only skipped one. But two skips were allowed.

Looks like you still cant save your route unless you show it visiting every control. I skipped 8 and 10. Don't have time to undo and re-draw that much tonight.
