Discussion: Adventure Racers in BC

Hello everyone,

I just recently moved to Squamish and would like to get in contact with racers in the British Columbia area. Most of the races around the area start later in the year right? Can't wait to do a race here!

If you are from BC and or knows about races around the area, please let me know!

I'm in BC, but not local to you. But know of most of the race directors and racers in this province.

Sadly there aren't that many races left in BC. MOMAR in Cumberland is the only one that comes to mind this year. Lots of trail running, mtb, orienteering events though. And plenty of other stuff to keep you busy… Squamish is a pretty nice place to explore.

Willderness (AP name) trains up that way sometimes ... but he's not back (to UBC) until September.

Both are sprint races. Little farther south in Oregon there is 30 hour race later in the summer.

Another vote for Jen Segger! Even though I live in Ontario I worked with her remotely a few years back when prepping for Raid the North Extreme. Tough workouts but really encouraging!

John markez lives in Squamish last time I checked. He'd be a good contact fornAR and any local training opportunities.
