Training Log Archive: 'Bent

Wow. Ran the Charlevoix trail and the west swamp loop with the boys.
First time the big boy was hands-free for the entire run. He did trail his longline, and had his collar on for backup, but he was 99% with just voice. I never touched the line.

Why is this night different from all other nights? ;)

Run to work with AD. No spikes!

Night run home with the big guy. Only about 200m of ice left, but more muck.

Commute with AD. Shoulder-hauled a big lot out too on the way home.

Easy trot to work with BZdog. He's fine today, and was 100% slack leash.

Brody’s 25m long line arrived (slackline safety from MEC), and he ran home with it trailing behind and me not touching it through all of Palgrave East and West to home. First time ever. If he bolts I can stomp the leash, but no need.

Hauled a very heavy wagon of wood up from our neighbours’ trails. They had some work done and the 1.5M logs are in the woods- mine if I can get them out.

We heard some deep barking and ran into a guy with 4 Ridgebacks, wearing coats. There was some yapping from Logan and one of the Ridgies, until Brody laid down the law then all was instantly good. Logan was chest bumping the 55kg male.

Dogs had a great run, but BZdog was sore when we got home later from the Banff film fest.
