20k skate race at Seeley Lake trails in MT. I feel ok with my choice to wimp out to the 20 instead of the 50, especially because my total ski training before today was only like 200k. It snowed a foot on Friday, and they did ok with the grooming - it was punchy in the middle, but could have been much worse. Temps were (are still) dropping after the storm moved through, so it was low teens for the race, but no wind. (11pm and it's -15F at the race site). I never felt terrible, but didn't really approach it as a race, so I wasn't pushing much. Good fun.

Ski with Boris around the Pattee canyon trails, snowing fairly hard with a couple inches on the trails, it was a lot of work.

Remarkable I even made it here, the first flight this morning "left" on time but then sat on the runway in Reno for more than an hour because the de-icer truck was broken. Got to SLC with maybe <15 mins until takeoff for the next flight, which was in a completely different terminal via one of those infinitely long under-the-runway walkway tunnels. The airport was fairly empty though, and I easy jogged the first half until they started calling my name on the intercom, then legit ran the last couple minutes. Made it, and somehow my ski bag did too, though it arguably had a much more direct route to get there.
