Orienteering race (Batona 500: Pakim, Red) 1:25:20 [4] *** 9.15 km (9:20 / km) +70m 8:59 / km

Much better than yesterday. Seem to have broken my Jersey jinx. Could always get faster, and a few places where I could have made better route choices, but I knew where I was the entire time.

Event: BATONA 500

Orienteering race (Batona 500: Batsto, Red) 1:40:16 [4] *** 6.35 km (15:47 / km) +103m 14:36 / km
18c shoes: VJ O-shoes

Winsplits shows 45 minutes of error, 35 on the 4th leg. Looking back at the map, I don't even know where I was! Likely, I got low to the right, went into a panic and wandered. I came upon a large path and couldn't make it line up with the map, running up and down, etc. Ugly. Finally, I went back into the woods to the nne, the land forms made sense, and there it was. Brain fart.

Run intervals (DEHS track) 51:00 [3]
shoes: Freebie

700 pyramid, M pace. w/ Sara, Lily, and Tommy. Her first time running on a track, Lily ran 4 laps (w/ full recovery between ;) ) to get ready for her 1/4 mile run on Tuesday. She's a fast one!

Second week in a row for me to set out cones every 50m. Seems to be a really good way to work on pacing, though other than for pace counting, I don't know how relevant it is to orienteering.
