Cold is worse today. Maybe allergies? Had planned to taper anyway. Looks like it may be more than I envisioned. Plan for this week:

Tue: Training @ Wissahickon
Wed: Short run @ lunch
Thursday: Shortened long/slow run to make up for missed tonight.
Friday: Rest
Sat/Sun: Races

Another decent run. Came out of 2 going in completely the wrong direction (for about 150m), let myself get distracted by other runners a couple of times, and a couple of less than desirable route choices. I did lose a little time at the GO control waiting for a family to upright the control stand after their 4-5 year old decided to move the saw horse.

BUT, on whole, I did a good job of keeping myself moving and spiked many more than I goofed. This week is six months since my first o' meet.

Can't kick this cold/cough. I'll take it easy the next few days to see if that helps. Want to be ready for next week.

At lunch today, I drove over to Bell's Mill Rd. on the western edge of Wissahickon Park to see how long the drive is from work. It took just a little over 10 minutes from lot to lot, so it will be tight for anything more than a half hour run during lunch break. It would be nice to run in daylight a couple of days a week.

Ran my neighborhood, then accross to the Knoll. Came back bored, so I ran timed laps of the .5 km loop in front of my house. 2 hard, 1 recovery, 2 hard. The two 1km runs were each 4'40".

Looking for someplace to run at lunch, now that it's dark early.
