*** Asterisked performance ***

I consulted on earlier drafts of the course, so I already knew my routes to most c (mostly so I could warn Ken that the swamp cross ability needed to be accurate in key spots).

Super nice to be able to see so far, eg, #6, where you can spot the hill from waaaaaay above and then just run run run at it. Wish I was fitter to exploit the runnability. Ken found many hills as well.

More detail later.

Orienteering 1 [0] 0.0 mi +191m null / mi

Mark's course blazing first place.

Orienteering 43:20 intensity: (4:11 @0) + (31:32 @1) + (7:37 @2) 2.4 mi (18:03 / mi) +29m 17:24 / mi
ahr:117 max:147 7c

Big pick up loop, hoping to not pull anything before Oprsal got to it on his late Green start.

Orienteering 4:12 intensity: (3:14 @0) + (58 @1) 0.32 mi (13:07 / mi) +3m 12:47 / mi
ahr:83 max:106

Quick run to the already picked up 61 and the game cam one.

So I guess the watch only starts when it feels like it? Thanks FR235.

Note

I stopped by Historic Fort Wayne on Saturday to see Heidi and MindyMiddy[1] race some cx. It was pretty fun! There were a lot of people there, which got me to thinking.

Mad Anthony CX results for 2016

(Don't need to look at anything other than to see how long it is.)

They charge 7x as much as we do, plus you have to have a $10 single day license or $70 annual license. And there were a ton of bikes whose prices likely have four numbers in them and didn't start with a 1. So I don't believe our price point is a problem.

Things that are different than an o meet:

* Multiple spectactor loops
* LIVE HECKLING
* I believe there was alcohol involved
* Food vendors
* Gear for sale

I am not saying we need to do all of that, but I am excited that our event director would enable live results on screens and such, which should make it a tiny bit more of a party.
