shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 238

Warm up/ down and drilllsss, Sam's running cockermouth

Running intervals 40:00 [4]
shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 238

Ran partners with Hannah doing the junior intervals on a kind of rest day. Did 5x out and back partners with pretty long 1.30mins rest in between. Felt okay, my legs were tired from yestoday but good session to focus on my tired running style, which was pretty excellent and alright throughout so just focused on that, managed to keep up with the non-racers so that was good too . Had fun with Hansy glad I went :)

Note

also is anyones routegadget working ?

Running 40:00 [2]
shoes: Inov-8 280

Warm up and down

Orienteering (Middle) race 32:28 [4] **** 4.1 km (7:55 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 280

British Middle Champs - York

Was pretty well warmed up and felt good before my race although Beth Hanson was really upset, she's such a good runner as well :(

Anyway the course went pretty well, made the largest mistake on number 1, I wasn't into the map yet and decided the go straight over loads of crap and spent 5 mins going to 11 then 12 before I got it -2mins. Then made another small mistake/hesitation at 7 having hit the path too low and got confused with the young tree's marshes although it didn't cost be too much -40secs. The rest was good, actually really enjoyed the area and made no more mistakes, running much faster than yesterday and feet were good but although I was happy with my position I was annoyed at my mistakes and could have easily got another 3mins off my time down the 29ish.

Now all the flatness is finally done, yay hills. :)

Orienteering (Sprint) 45:00 [2]
shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 238

All warm ups and downs

Orienteering (Sprint) 19:08 [4] 2.4 km (7:58 / km) +25m 7:35 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 238

British Sprint Champs York University

Felt pretty well warmed up, although somewhat put off when Carolyn was on the same minute as me and the gaffeling was so not different like all our controls were practically the same, although got ahead after 7 I think.

Wasn't really running to fast and somewhat off the pace, but made nearly no mistakes just mild hesitation, feet were feeling okay too.

Got into the A final yay.

3 PM

Orienteering (Sprint) 18:03 [5] 2.1 km (8:36 / km) +20m 8:12 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 238

British Sprint Champs York Uni - A Final

Pretty okay race, just off the pace and my toe kind of dislocated itself near the end so that kind of hurt, my feet were worse than before but not so bad as normal with high intensity roads.

Made a small mistake at number 2 and went too far in topiary, managed the rest okay I just wasn't very fast, speed is not my forte but got 8th considering all, so was happy.

Such a beautiful day so went on a spontaneous cycle ride to Lorton along up the high off-road track and back past Heather's to my house. Was pretty hilly and super nice, felt pretty fit and defiantly better than the weekend.
